We need a management information systems (MIS) expert who is skilled and pays attention to details to join our team. As a MIS Specialist, it will be your job to organize, analyze, and use data to help people make decisions and make our organization's systems and processes more efficient and effective. Your main job will be to make sure that our MIS system is always available, secure, and of good quality, while also making it work better to meet business needs.
What you need to do:
- Create, set up, and keep up with management information tools that help the business run, make decisions, and follow through with its plans.
- Look at what the business needs and work with cross-functional teams to find out what MIS is needed and how to make it happen in a way that fits with the organization's goals.
- Keep an eye on and fix the company's records to make sure the data is correct, safe, and secure.
- Create reports, graphs, and data visualizations that give people at different levels of the organization information to help them make smart decisions.
- Find trends, patterns, and outliers in the data through analysis and make suggestions for how to make the process better and more efficient.
- Work together with IT teams to make sure that MIS systems can easily connect and work with other apps and systems.
- Do quality checks and exams on a regular basis to find and fix data holes, mistakes, and inconsistencies.
- End users should be taught how to use MIS systems and tools correctly and given professional help when they need it.
- Keep up with the latest best practices, new tools, and government rules that affect data management and management information systems.
- Work with partners to find and implement improvements and changes to current MIS systems that will make them scalable and ready for the future.
What's needed:
- At least a bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or a similar field Certifications and other skills that are relevant are a plus.
- Work history as a MIS expert, database administrator, business analyst, or in a job similar to these.
- Strong skills in SQL, database management systems (DBMS), and languages for working with data.
- Knowledge of how to use tools for data analysis and reports, like Microsoft Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or others like them
- Knowing how to make management reports, graphs, and data visualizations is important.
- Know how to use data modeling, ETL methods, and the ideas behind data storage.
- Know the rules and best practices for information protection and data safety.
- Strong intellectual and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to make sense of complicated facts and give useful advice.
- Excellent people- and communication skills are needed to work well with clients and cross-functional teams.
- Being able to work alone, handle several jobs at once, and meet goals
